How we work

The same process for every search, written down.

Employers and candidates both deserve to know what happens next. Here is the full sequence, what you can expect from us at each step, and what we ask of you.

For employers

From brief to a hire that sticks

  1. Acknowledgement

A consultant from the relevant practice replies within one business day of receiving your vacancy or call.

    Day 1
  2. Briefing call

30 to 45 minutes on the role, the team, the manager, systems, budget, and what a strong first year looks like. We agree the scorecard, terms, and how you want to be updated. We also tell you honestly whether the salary will work.

    Day 2–3
  3. Search

We map the market and approach passive candidates alongside our registered network. Nobody is contacted about a confidential role without your organization anonymized.

    Day 3–8
  4. Structured interviews

Every candidate is interviewed by your practice consultant against the scorecard. Technical exercises or portfolio reviews are added where agreed.

    Day 5–10
  5. Shortlist

Three to five people, each with interview notes, salary expectations, notice period, work authorization, and our view of fit. You get a weekly progress note regardless.

    Day 10
  6. Interviews and feedback

We schedule interviews, collect feedback from both sides within 24 hours, and keep candidates warm between stages.

    Week 3–4
  7. References and offer

References taken to your specification. We structure the offer with you, present it, and manage counter-offer risk before the resignation.

    Week 4–5
  8. Onboarding and guarantee

Check-ins with both sides at two weeks, six weeks, and three months. If something is wrong we hear early. The written guarantee covers the agreed period.

    Day 1 to month 3+

For candidates

From registration to your first 90 days

  1. Acknowledgement

You hear from us within two business days. If your background fits a practice we book an intro call; if not, we say so and point you somewhere useful.

    Day 1–2
  2. Intro call

30 minutes on what you do, what you want next, salary expectations, and constraints. This is a real interview; treat it as one.

    Week 1
  3. Matching

We only discuss roles that fit what you told us. For each, you get the full brief, the range, and our honest view of the employer before deciding.

    Ongoing
  4. Permission

Nothing is sent without your explicit go-ahead for that role, and you know who it is going to.

    Per role
  5. Preparation

A prep call before each interview: format, interviewers, what they care about, and practical details.

    Before each interview
  6. Feedback

Employer feedback shared honestly after every stage, including when it is disappointing. Your feedback goes back to the employer.

    Within 24 hours
  7. Offer and resignation

We negotiate on your behalf with live salary data, then help you resign well and handle a counter-offer.

    Offer stage
  8. First 90 days

Check-ins at two weeks, six weeks, and three months. If something is not right we can often help.

    Day 1 to month 3

Standards

What we hold ourselves to

Response times

Employers: one business day. Candidates: two business days. Interview feedback: 24 hours. If we miss one, we tell you why.

Confidentiality

No candidate profile leaves us without permission. No confidential employer is named before a candidate has agreed to proceed.

Honesty on pay

We tell employers when a budget will stall a search and candidates when an expectation is above the market. Early, and plainly.

Brief a role or register your CV and see the first step happen within a day or two.
